STATEN ISLAND, NY : Motorist abandons car on foot after Graniteville crash on Monday, 22nd February 2021

The driver of a vehicle involved in a crash in Graniteville Monday afternoon fled the scene after the incident occurred, police said.

The crash occurred on Fahy Avenue, just beyond the Staten Island Expressway off-ramp, at around 12:20 p.m., according to an NYPD spokesman.

The two-car crash caused significant damage to two vehicles. A sedan was observed with a smashed front-end, while an SUV sustained rear-end damage.
