Grand Prairie, TX : Three people died, infant injured after Car slams into rear of stalled armored car on Dallas-area expressway on Thursday, February 4, 2016

A car drifted into a median on a Dallas-area toll road and slammed into a stalled armored car, killing three people in the car and critically injuring an infant.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says the crash happened about 4:30 p.m. Thursday on the President George Bush Turnpike southbound near a ramp to eastbound Interstate 20 in Grand Prairie.

DPS Trooper Lonny Haschel says the armored car was sitting in the paint of the split between the eastbound and westbound ramps to I-20 when the car, for reasons that weren't clear, veered out of the traffic lane and slammed into the armored car.

Haschel says the occupants of the armored car weren't seriously injured and required no hospitalization.
