Chattanooga, TN : Cyclist hospitalized after crash with pickup truck on Tuesday morning, February 7, 2017

A bicyclist tried to cross Dayton Boulevard in front of a pickup truck, leading to a Tuesday morning crash that left the cyclist hospitalized.

Chattanooga police investigators determined the vehicle was unable to stop in time and made contact with the cyclist, a news release said.

The incident happened just after 10 a.m. in the 1100 block of Dayton Boulevard, just south of the road's intersection with U.S. 27.

Police said the cyclist's injuries are not life threatening. The crash remains under investigation.
