Westport, MA : woman dead and man under arrest after a fatal two-car crash Route 6 in Westport on Friday October 16 2015

A woman is dead and a man is under arrest after a fatal two-car crash Friday evening on Route 6 in Westport, our news partners at the Herald News reported.
Police did not immediately release the names of the suspect, who is described as a 63-year-old man, or the victim, whom Westport police Detective Jeffrey Majewski said is a woman in her 70s.
The victim was ejected from her car after her vehicle was struck from behind by the defendant's vehicle on Route 6 westbound, Majewski said.Witnesses said that the defendant was driving recklessly and a high rate of speed and that the victim's vehicle appeared to be slowing down and preparing to turn, Majewski said.
The impact propelled the victim's silver-colored vehicle 100 feet down the westbound lanes of Route 6 before it flipped over and came to a rest off to the side of the road.
Majewski said police suspect that the operator was driving under the influence of alcohol.
Our suspicion is that it's drunk driving," Majewski said.
