Danville, VA : Van crashes into Audiology building in Danville on Thursday, July 6, 2017
A van parked in front of the Arc of Southside, in the 400 block of Main Street, rolled across the street and crashed into the Audiology Hearing Aid Associates building at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
Chris Key, battalion chief for the Danville Fire Department, said no one was hurt in the accident. The vehicle was left in park, but was running, in front of the Arc of Southside building, Tonya Milling, executive director of Arc, said.
“An employee was driving it … it was in ‘park’ but was left running,” Milling said. “I don’t know what happened; we came out and it was crashed across the street.”
Since the vehicle had no passengers or driver at the time — and no cars were hit as it rolled across the street — no one was injured.
“We’re thankful no one was in it or in the street,” Milling said.
