RUSSELL COUNTY, VA : 2 dead, 2 injured after crash in Virginia on Route 19 just inside Russell County at the Washington Count on Sunday, 5th May 2019Hall

Virginia State Police are investigating a deadly crash in Russell County, Virginia. The victims involved are from Rural Hall.

The crash happened Friday around 11:45 p.m. on Route 19 just inside Russell County at the Washington County line.Shortly before 11:45 p.m., the Russell County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call about a wrong-way driver on Route 19.

Officials tell WCYB that a pickup truck traveling south in the northbound lanes of Route 19 struck a SUV head-on.

Four people were inside the SUV, all from Rural Hall. The driver was treated and released for minor injuries. A 13-year-old female passenger was flown to a hospital in Wake Forest for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
