Oklahoma City, OK : One person killed in hit-and-run crash on Sunday June 22nd 2014.
Oklahoma City police said one person was killed in a hit-and-run crash at Northwest 23rd Street and Geraldine Avenue Sunday.
Kimberly Geronimo said she witnessed the crash, which occurred outside the Subway where she works.
"I was making a sandwich and I hear a thud, and I look up at the window and I see a man just come from the air and hit the ground," she said.
Police said 79-year-old Jack McClung was crossing the street when a car hit him.
"I could see how hard he was trying to breathe," Geronimo said. "He couldn't even talk. He was just trying to fight for air and I just, you know, I'll never forget him and I just hope that he goes to heaven and this man killed him in front of my store."
Police described the vehicle as a black, four-door car, possibly a Mitsubishi or a Honda, with a red grill, bumper and stripe down the side. Police recommend those who see the vehicle call 911 immediately.
