Clearwater, FL : 47-year-old Janelle M. Osborn, died in rollover crash on U.S. 19 in Clearwater on Monday morning, April 25, 2016

A Clearwater woman was killed this morning in a crash involving two overturned vehicles on U.S. 19 in Clearwater, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers were dispatched to the scene, south of Highland Acres Drive, just before 8 a.m. U.S. 19 was closed to traffic about three hours during the investigation.

According to the FHP, 29-year-old Charles S. Templeton was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Venture minivan northbound in the outside lane on U.S. 19, in the outside right lane, when he veered into the grass shoulder for unknown reasons.

Templeton struck the left side of a 1998 Honda Civic, which was stopped at a stop line on westbound Highland Acres Drive, just east of U.S. 19.

Both cars came to rest in a ditch on the east side of U.S. 19, the FHP said. The Civic overturned and came to rest on its roof, while the minivan landed partially atop the Civic.

The driver of the Civic, 47-year-old Janelle M. Osborn, died at the scene, the FHP said. Passenger Larry E. Reed, 42, of Clearwater, is listed in critical condition at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.

Templeton and a passenger in the minivan, 31-year-old Ryan W. Trullard of New Port Richey, were not injured, the FHP said.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the FHP said, and charges are pending.
