CHICO, CA : Driver suffers minor injuries in Highway 32 crash that slows traffic on Thursday, 23rd January, 2020

A car wreck delayed traffic on Highway 32 near Meridian for about 20 minutes Thursday as rescue crews worked to clear the scene.

A woman was driving westbound around 11:05 a.m. Thursday when her sedan went off the road, crashing into a guardrail before landing on its side.

The semitrailer driver who was behind the sedan told officers he saw the car weaving shortly before the crash, said California Highway Patrol Officer Miguel Deleon.

The woman suffered very minor injuries and initially declined medical attention, Deleon said. However, she later decided to go to Enloe Medical Center.

CHP investigators determined the car was going about 55 mph at the time of the crash.
