Coweta, OK : Off-duty Broken Arrow police officer dies in traffic crash on Saturday, December 10, 2016

The Broken Arrow Police Department says one of its officers has died in an off-duty traffic crash.

Police say Officer Eugene Orr died at a hospital Saturday after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck in Coweta. Police say the driver of the pickup wasn’t injured and prosecutors are determining whether any charges should be filed against him.

Broken Arrow Police Chief David Boggs says his department is “broken hearted” over Orr’s death and asked for privacy for Orr’s family.

The police department says funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at The Church at Battlecreek in Broken Arrow
