ANTIOCH, CA : Pedestrian injured after vehicle collision on April, Monday 3rd 2017
A pedestrian is expected to survive after sustaining major injuries after a collision with a car Monday night, police said.
Around 8:38 p.m., a dispatcher received a report of a vehicle-pedestrian collision at Buchanan Road and Buchanan Crossings.
Officers found a 46-year-old Antioch resident was crossing Buchanan Road at the intersection against a red-light traffic signal when she was hit by a westbound vehicle. Police said the woman was taken to a hospital with major injuries to her legs and feet.
The vehicle’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, and neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be factors.
