Beaverton , OR : woman struck and killed by a vehicle near the intersection of Southwest 123rd Avenue on Sunday night ,April 5th 2015

A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle late Sunday night near the Cedar Hills Park in Beaverton.

There are some indications that the woman may have intentionally stepped in front of the vehicle, a spokesperson from the Beaverton Police Department said.

The crash happened just before 11:30 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Southwest 123rd Avenue and Walker Road.

The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Police said the person was not impaired by drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash.

Police are withholding the woman’s name until family members have been notified.

Crash investigators reopened the intersection at around 2 a.m. Monday.
