Marshall,MO : Malta Bend teen injured in one-vehicle crash on March, Sunday 25th 2018

A Malta Bend teen suffered serious injuries, after a one-vehicle accident on Sunday, March 25.

According to an online Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the crash occurred at 10:03 p.m., when 17-year-old Moradiance R. Wheeler was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 20, 0.4 miles west of Gem Avenue. Wheeler traveled off the roadway, went airborne and struck an embankment.

The report states Wheeler was not wearing a seat belt, and was transported by Saline County Emergency Medical Services to a Staff for Life helicopter, where she was then flown to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
