Citrus County, FL : Woman, 25, killed in car wreck on Wednesday, 4th November, 2020

A 25-year-old Dunnellon woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020, at the intersection of County Road 491 and State Road 200, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

In addition to the death of the 25 year-old, a 5-year-old child who was a passenger in her sedan was critically injured, the report stated.

According to the report, the 25-year-old was traveling on C.R. 491 when she turned left into the path of SUV traveling southbound on S.R. 200. The SUV, driven by a 25-year-old man from Inverness, collided with the left side of the woman’s sedan. The Inverness man did not sustain any injuries in the wreck.

Post-impact, the report stated, the sedan rotated to final rest on the west side of the roadway as the SUV came to final rest facing east in the center of the roadway.

Transported to an area hospital, the woman later died from injuries sustained during the crash, the FHP report stated.
