Pocomoke City, MD : Police veteran dies in Parsonsburg crash on Saturday, JULY 23, 2016

A 40-year veteran of the Baltimore and Howard County police departments died following a collision Saturday, July 23, in Parsonsburg, according to Maryland State Police.

Ronald Grant Miner, 74, was driving east on Mount Hermon Road when he crossed the double yellow line in the road and struck a westbound vehicle driven by Stacey Victoria Rossey around 2:10 p.m., police said.

Miner was taken to Peninsula Medical Reginal Center where he was pronounced dead. It is unknown if Miner died as a result of the collision or if there was a medical emergency that happened prior to it, police said.

Rossey and two young children in her car had non-life-threatening injuries.
