Arcanum, OH : Dayton teen critically injured in semi crash in the 3700 block of Ohio 49 near Arcanum on Wednesday, Oct 7, 2015

A 19-year-old Dayton man is fighting for his life tonight after he veered his car into the path of a tractor-trailer and was struck head-on.
The crash happened around noon in the 3700 block of state Route 49 near Arcanum.
Joshua E. Zennie was driving a gold 2002 Chevrolet Impala north when he crossed the center line and was struck by a 2015 Freightliner headed south, driven by 56-year-old William Moore of Muskegon, Michigan, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
Zennie was extricated from his car and was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Moore was treated and released at the scene, deputies said.
In addition to the sheriff’s office, Arcanum Rescue, Greenville Rescue, Arcanum Fire, Pitsburg Fire and Phillipsburg Fire responded to the crash, which remains under investigation.
