PICKENS COUNTY, SC : 1 killed in dump truck vs moped crash in Pickens Co. on Monday, 31st July 2023

A person died in a crash Monday morning in Pickens County.

The Pickens County Coroner’s Office responded to the crash which occurred around 7:15 a.m. on Greenville Highway near Cartee Road.

Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said a dump truck and a moped were traveling east on Greenville Highway when the dump truck hit the moped from behind.

The Pickens County Coroner’s Office identified the driver of the moped as 31-year-old Brandi Black, of Liberty.

Black was pronounced dead at the scene.
