Dalton, GA : 1 dead in accident in north Whitfield County on Thursday afternoon, March 9, 2017

One person has died in a two-truck accident in north Whitfield County this afternoon, Whitfield County coroner Greg Bates said.

The name of the deceased is not being released until next of kin are notified, he said.

The accident happened at about 2:30 p.m. at Lake Kathy Road and Tunnel Hill Varnell Road.
