North Platte, NE : One transported to hospital after two-car accident on Monday, March 20th 2017
The driver of a silver Toyota Rav4 pulled out in front of a Ford Sport at the intersection of Fifth and Oak streets on Monday.
“The black SUV was northbound on Oak approaching Fifth Street,” said North Platte Patrol Officer James Hagen. “The silver SUV was westbound on Fifth Street. The silver vehicle did stop for the stop sign, and then it proceeded through.”
Hagen said the driver of the Toyota did not see the Ford approaching. The Ford was unable to stop and struck the Toyota on the driver’s door, setting off air bags in both vehicles.
The driver of the Toyota was transported to Great Plains Health by North Platte Fire Department ambulance with what was thought to be minor injuries.
Hagen said all occupants in both vehicles were wearing seat restraints.
