LYNCHBURG, VA : Bicyclist hospitalized after hit-and-run crash at the intersection of 12th Street and Taylor Street on Monday, 7th October 2024

A bicyclist was hospitalized after being hit by a driver Monday, October 7.

Lynchburg Police Department responded at 12:32 p.m. to reports of a hit-and-run crash involving a vehicle and bicycle at the intersection of 12th Street and Taylor Street.

The bicyclist was transported by Lynchburg Fire Department to Lynchburg General Hospital. Lynchburg Police say the individual is in serious condition.

Police describe the vehicle involved in the incident as a black Acura SUV with Georgia license plates.
