Authorities have released the names of two people who died in a late-night crash in Sanilac County.
The Times Herald of Port Huron and The Saginaw News report 17-year-old Danielle Torrez of Croswell and 18-year-old Dakota Moore of Applegate died after a vehicle went off a Lexington Township roadway about 11 p.m. Tuesday and rolled several times.
Patricia Torrez tells the Times Herald that Moore was the boyfriend of Danielle Torrez and they had been dating for a few months.
The two who died were thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, about 70 miles north of Detroit. A 20-year-old was treated for injuries at a hospital in Port Huron. The sheriff's office says speed appears to have been a factor in the crash.
