Paradise, PA : 2 women killed, 3 people seriously injured in Route 30 crash in Paradise on early Sunday, November 9, 2014
Authorities in central Pennsylvania say two women were killed and three other people seriously injured in the early morning crash of a minivan into a tree.
LNP reports that the crash occurred just before 5 a.m. Sunday on route 30 in Paradise in Lancaster County.
The county coroner, Dr. Stephen Diamantoni, said two women were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names were not immediately released. Autopsies are scheduled Monday.
Pat Cosgrove, chief of the Paradise fire department, said three people were taken to Lancaster General Hospital with serious injuries.
Cosgrove said the minivan was heading west when it ran off the road and struck a tree about 15 feet from the roadway. He said he didn't believe any of the victims were wearing seat belts.
