Bullhead City, AZ : A vehicle struck a 240-volt transformer box on Highway 68 on February, Tuesday 27th 2018

A vehicle struck a 240-volt transformer box on Highway 68 on Tuesday afternoon, but the occupants escaped injury. According to reports from the Bullhead City Fire Department, the accident was reported at 1:37 p.m. near Mile Marker 6 on Highway 68 and involved a single vehicle with a driver and one passenger. Both were able to get out of the vehicle without injury. Reports indicate the driver lost control and the vehicle left the roadway before striking the transformer box. A crew from UniSource Energy was called to shut down the power while Bullhead City fire personnel secured the area. The accident was turned over to the Arizona Department of Public Safety and the Arizona Department of Transportation for further investigation.
