Callaway County ,MO : Three injured in single-vehicle crash on Wednesday ,July 8th 2015

Three people were hurt, one seriously, at about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday when a 2006 Honda Civic they were driving in went off the side of a road in Callaway County and overturned.

Nathaniel M. Smith, 17, was driving the Civic westbound on Interstate 70 at mile marker 154 when the car went off the right side of the road, hit an embankment and rolled over, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. Smith was not wearing a seat belt, the report said, and he suffered serious injuries.

A 15-year-old passenger, Marc O. Smith, had minor injuries, and 40-year-old Angela D. Reid of Jefferson City suffered moderate injuries. Marc and Nathaniel Smith are both Columbia residents. All three were taken to University Hospital for medical care.

The report said both passengers were wearing seat belts and the car was totaled.
