Readington, NJ : A Somerset County woman was injured in a one-car crash at Lamington and Meadow roads On Saturday, August 13th, 2016

A Somerset County woman suffered only minor injuries in a one-car crash in the township, police confirmed.

The accident happened at 3:59 a.m. Saturday at the corner of Lamington and Meadow roads when Lauren S. Camacho, 19, of the Somerset section of Franklin Township, apparently lost control of her 2000 Chrysler Cirrus,

hitting a tree. The car then burst into flames, police said.

When police and firefighters first arrived, there was no one in car or nearby. Camacho was later located and said she was the only person who had been in the vehicle. She said she only had minor injuries, police reported.

Camacho was issued motor-vehicle summons for reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident. The crash was investigated by Patrolman Patrick Brown.

Responding the the accident were township police, the East Whitehouse and Whitehouse fire departments and Whitehouse Rescue Squad.
