Providence, RI : Two kids hit by car while riding bikes in Providence on Tuesday, March 29, 2016

Two children were hit by a car in a serious accident in Providence Tuesday.

Police say they’re searching for the driver.

A witness tells ABC6 News she saw the car slam into two children on Roanoke Street before taking off.

The witness says the kids were riding their bikes when the car hit them in the crosswalk and sent them flying.

Witnesses say the driver did initially stop and go over to the kids, and one little girl was shaken up. She was yelling because her brother was unconscious.

The witness then says the driver took off in his car. She says it looked like a silver Honda and the man was young, possibly Hispanic.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Providence Police.
