Memphis, TN : Person hit by car on Shelby Dr. near Mendenhall Rd on Wednesday, January 25, 2017

A person was hit by a car near East Shelby Drive and South Mendenhall Road.

Memphis Police Department originally reported the crash happened near East Shelby Drive and Tuggle Road, in front of the Nike distribution center, but later said the collision happened further east on Shelby Drive.

The person was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The driver stayed on the scene.

It's unclear at this time whether the driver will face charges.
