Orlando, FL : A 39-year-old man who died in a crash on May, Saturday, 13th 2017
Florida Highway Patrol has released the name of a 39-year-old man who died in a crash west of Ormond Beach on Friday.
The driver was identified as Jamar Fox of Crescent City. A 3-year-old identified by police as Jamar Fox Jr. was also injured in the crash with what police called “minor” injuries.
Fox was driving his 2006 Honda SUV west on State Road 40 near Pinto Lane at about 7:45 p.m., according to FHP Sgt. Kim Montes.

That intersection is just north of the Tomoka Wildlife Management Area in Ormond Beach.
Fox’s SUV drifted onto the road’s shoulder and the man over-corrected and flipped the SUV.
The flip threw both Fox and Fox Jr. from the vehicle, Montes said. She said troopers do not believe they were wearing seat belts.
The child was taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children with minor injuries. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers are still investigating the crash.
