Simpson County, MS : 73-year-old Dennis Dyess died in a single car wreck in Simpson County on Friday, February 20, 2015

Just after noon on Friday crews responded to a single car wreck on MS 13 in Simpson county; about a mile north of the Jefferson Davis County line.

According to Trooper Eric Henry, with the Mississippi Highway Patrol, a 2013 Honda Accord, heading south, left the road and hit a tree on the opposite side of the road.

The driver has been identified as 73-year-old Dennis Dyess from Carson, Mississippi.

A medical issue may have been a factor.
