Louisville, KY : Motorcyclist dies after crash near PRP on Friday, 18th August, 2016

A motorcyclist died in a vehicle collision Friday night near Pleasure Ridge Park.

The man, who has not been identified, was driving a motorcycle westbound on Blanton Lane near Mills Drive when he hit the driver's side door of a blue Dodge Charger, which was traveling east, according to an email from police spokesman Dwight Mitchell.

The collision with the charger happened after the motorcyclist clipped the driver's side mirror of a beige Cadillac.

The man suffered from fatal injuries and died at the scene. No one else was injured.

The LMPD Traffic Unit is investigating.
