A motorcyclist is recovering in a Colorado Springs hospital after an early morning crash Monday.
Alcohol and speed are believed to be behind the crash, Colorado Springs police said.
The man was driving south on Academy Boulevard just before 2 a.m. when he failed to make a curve at Anglo Drive and hit the curb, police said. The man was ejected off the bike and hit his head on the roadway. He was not wearing a helmet, police said.The man was taken to a local hospital where he continues to be observed. His condition was not available.
Police did not provide details of the crash.
