Latest Update:
At 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Merrimack Police and Fire responded to Baboosic Lake Road near Bambi Trail for a single motor vehicle collision into a tree.
Upon arrival, police found a 36-year-old male in the driver’s seat with severe injuries. He was transported to Southern New Hampshire Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Baboosic Lake Road was closed for approximately four hours while the Department’s Accident Investigation Team conducted the crash investigation.
Police said evidence at the scene indicates that a 1999 Audi A6 was traveling southboound on Baboosic Lake Road, near Bambi Trail, when it exited the roadway and struck a large tree with the driver’s side of the vehicle.
It is believed that speed was a factor in the collision. Police are withholding the name of the deceased pending notification of family.
The matter remains under investigation by Merrimack Police.
