Sacramento, CA : Man arrested for DUI after Santa Rosa rollover crash on Saturday, July 29, 2017
A Ukiah man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after rolling a black Subaru sedan on Santa Rosa Avenue early Saturday morning, police said.
James Frank Pineda, Jr., 45, was driving northbound on Santa Rosa Avenue about 2:30 a.m. when he crashed into a metal sign pole and then a business sign, before rolling the car, Santa Rosa police reported.
When police arrived on scene, the Subaru was on its roof on the east sidewalk of Santa Rosa Avenue, with Pineda and his 31-year-old passenger, Jeffrey Chan, of Santa Rosa, inside.
Pineda was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI, while Chan was arrested for alleged public intoxication and obstructing an officer.
