Pittsburgh, PA : Sewickley Township woman killed in single-vehicle accident on Monday night, July 24, 2016
A Sewickley Township woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash late last night after she failed to negotiate a turn.
Theresa L. Sager, 19, was driving along Nittany Lane in Sewickley around 11:40 p.m. when she failed to properly make a left turn. Her Chevy Silverado then went off the road, struck a tree in residential yard and turned onto its roof.
Joshua C. Zappone, the Westmoreland County deputy cororner, pronounced Ms. Sager dead at the scene.
He ruled her death an accident and cited the cause as multiple blunt force injuries.
Mr. Zappone noted that Ms. Sager was not wearing a seat belt and that her vehicle was not equipped with air bags.
He also noted that an autopsy would not be performed and that the results of a toxicology test are pending.
