SHREVEPORT, LA : Car chase in Bossier City leads to major accident in Shreveport on Wednesday, 30th October 2024

A driver who led Bossier City police in a chase across the Texas Street Bridge into Shreveport Wednesday afternoon caused a crash that sent him and another person to the hospital.

The BCPD officer who initiated the pursuit called off the chase when he noticed heavy traffic on Market Street in downtown Shreveport.

As the officer returned to Bossier City, he noticed the suspect's vehicle was involved in a major accident at Lake Street and Market Street.

The suspect’s vehicle, a grey sedan, struck a transmission pole. Power lines fell onto the sedan sparking a fire.
