Baltimore, MD : Three people injured in a chain reaction crash on Interstate 95 north in Halethorpe on Wednesday afternoon, Nov 18, 2015

Three people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a chain reaction crash on Interstate 95 north in Halethorpe that closed the highwayfor an hour, Maryland State Police said.

Around 1 p.m., a 2002 GMC Yukon collided with a 2015 Freightliner Tractor Trailer, causing it to jack knife and lose control on Interstate 95 north in the area of Interstate 695 interchange, police said. The tractor trailer hit a 2010 Toyota Corolla before crashing into an embankment where it caught fire. The driver of the Freightliner and the driver and passenger of the Toyota were transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries, police said.

The collision and fire closed all north bound lanes on I-95 for one hour.
