Painesville, OH : Northeast Ohio man killed in motorcycle crash hour after brother badly hurt in separate crash on Tuesday, June 16, 2015

Authorities say a northeast Ohio man died in a motorcycle crash just an hour after his brother was critically injured in a separate crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said in a news release that 68-year-old Paul Richards died at a hospital in Lake County east of Cleveland after crashing in Leroy Township shortly before 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Seventy-year-old David Richards had crashed in Concord Township an hour earlier after losing control on a curve. The brothers were riding together at the time.

Paul Richards was leaving the crash scene to arrange for his brother's motorcycle to be retrieved when the patrol says he lost control.

David Richards was flown by helicopter to a Cleveland hospital where he was in critical condition on Wednesday.
