Sagamore, MA : Man was taken by MedFlight helicopter to a Boston hospital Wednesday after an accident on Old Plymouth Road on September 3rd 2014
A man was brought by MedFlight helicopter to a Boston hospital Wednesday after an accident on Old Plymouth Road, according to the Bourne Fire Department.
At 2:41 p.m., Bourne rescuers responded to an accident at the intersection of Scusset Beach Road and Old Plymouth Road, where a motorcycle and car collided..
The motorcycle operator was brought to Jordan Hospital in Plymouth by ambulance, Deputy Fire Chief Joseph Carrera said.
The driver of the car had already fled the scene, he said.
About 15 minutes later, the fire department received another call from a business about a mile down the road where there was a man with serious injuries. When rescuers arrived, they brought the man to Ella F. Hoxie School, where he was met by the helicopter and flown to Massachusetts General Hospital, Carrera said.
Police are investigating the crash, and although they said the man picked up at the business was involved in the accident, they would not confirm that he had fled the scene.
