Moretown woman killed when car crashes into ledges Moretown Vermont
Vermont State Police said a 23-year-old woman has died after her vehicle left a roadway and crashed into some ledges head-on.Police said Brittany Campbell of Moretown was driving in foggy conditions on the River Road in Moretown at about 4:40 a.m. Sunday when she failed to negotiate curve in the road.A passerby located the vehicle off the roadway and stated there was a single occupant inside the vehicle and she was unconscious. Upon arrival, state police observed the 2001 Subaru Forester off the roadway with extensive front-end damageIt appeared the vehicle had been traveling north when it failed to negotiate a moderate right hand curve, police said. The driver was transported to Central Vermont Hospital where she was pronounced dead.Investigation showed that she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
