Blair, NE : Three people injured in Highway 75 crash on Monday, September 19, 2016
Three people were transported to Memorial Community Hospital & Health System with minor injuries following a two-vehicle crash north of Blair on Monday.
Washington County sheriff's deputies and Blair Fire and Rescue responded to the crash just after noon near the intersection of U.S. Highway 75 and County Road P12.
A red 2006 Pontiac, driven by Beverly K. Andersen, 64, of Blair, was attempting to turn right onto CR P12 when the crash occurred, according to Capt. Shawn Thallas.
Andersen told deputies her vision was obstructed by a Nebraska Department of Roads dump truck parked on the shoulder.
She made a wide turn into the southbound lane in an attempt to turn right. That's when a silver 2012 Hyundai, driven by Jo Buechler, 58, of Tekamah, struck the Pontiac.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage.
Highway 75 traffic was stopped in both directions for more than 30 minutes.
The crash remains under investigation.
