New London, MO : Cottage Grove man killed in Hwy. 61 motorcycle crash on Sunday, 15th July 2018

A Cottage Grove man was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday evening on Highway 61.

Neville E. Amundson, 58, died after the 2007 Yamaha motorcycle he was riding rolled on southbound Highway 61 near Leeder Avenue, according to the State Patrol.The report said Amundson was traveling at a high rate of speed while entering a curve over a hillcrest when the motorcycle lost control. He was not wearing a helmet. Road conditions were dry, the State Patrol reported.

The crash occurred at 7:54 p.m. There were no other injuries.
