NELSON COUNTY, VA : 2 dead after crash at Route 29 intersection in Nelson County on Saturday, 17th August 2024

Two people are dead after a crash Saturday night in Nelson County involving two vehicles, according to officials.

Virginia State Police said the incident happened just before 9 p.m. at the intersection of Route 29 northbound and Irish Road.

"A 2024 Freightliner Cascadia was heading northbound on Route 29 when it was unable to avoid striking a 2011 Chevrolet Aveo which had entered the intersection," VSP said.
