Sunbury, PA : Despite bus accident, Selinsgrove kids make it to school on time on Monday, 3rd October 2016
Although their school bus was damaged in an accident, Selinsgrove school district students were not injured and able to make it to school on time said district Superintendent Chad Cohrs.
He said the bus was waiting at a stop sign at the intersection of Bridge Street and Route 204 when a northbound car and a southbound car collided and hit the front of the bus.
Claudia Beaver, the secretary to the superintendent, said the district transportation coordinator Mark Wolfberg received a call from the bus driver about the accident around 7:58 a.m.
Cohrs said they were able to send a replacement bus to the intersection and transport all the students to their respective campuses before class began.
The passengers ranged from kindergarten to high school students, he said.
Beaver said Selinsgrove schools usually begin between 8:20 to 8:25 a.m.
