GREEN BAY, WI : Leo Frigo bridge back open following 2 separate crashes on Sunday, 27th September, 2020

Green Bay Police say two separate crashes caused a temporary closure of multiple lanes on I-43 at the Leo Frigo bridge Sunday afternoon.

Police tell Action 2 News two southbound vehicles didn’t slow down in an area where it narrows down to one lane, and the drivers didn’t slow down in time and caused a crash.

Officials say one person was hurt with a neck injury but will be okay.

According to police, the driver of a separate, northbound vehicle was distracted by the crash and caused a one vehicle crash but wasn’t hurt.

The bridge was shut down for about 20 minutes before it was reopened Sunday afternoon.
