Lambert was listed in serious condition at Parrish Medical Center. The child, identified as Lilth Elis, was in serious condition at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando.

Residents in the area said the deadly crash is a wakeup call to make the area safer for pedestrians.
"It's very dark and it's not particularly safe," said Steve Biel, who lives in the area. "There are no sidewalks on it."
