Topeka, KS : Woman ejected from car in one-vehicle Jefferson County crash on Sunday, November 20th 2016
A woman was ejected from the car she was driving after over-correcting and rolling the vehicle multiple times in Jefferson County.
The crash was reported at 4:04 p.m. Sunday, about seven miles east of Perry on U-24 Highway, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol’s crash log.
Johanna Bettes, 25, of Granby, Mo., was eastbound on the highway when the 2007 Lincoln MKZ she was driving drifted off the right side of the roadway. Bettes over-corrected and the vehicle crossed the roadway. It left the road on the left side and overturned multiple times, ejecting her, the crash log indicated.
Bettes was transported to KU Medical Center with disabling injuries. She was the only occupant in the car.
Bettes wasn’t wearing a seat belt, according to the crash log.
