A Naples woman died after her car crashed into a camera pole along I-75 North in Collier County Monday afternoon. According to a report from Florida Highway Patrol, Melani Dietrich, 22, of Naples died at the scene and was not wearing a seatbelt. She had been traveling on the inside lane of I-75 near the 102 milepost. According to witnesses, her vehicle made a steady veer to the right across the roadway and onto the shoulder, the FHP report says. The vehicle continued on that path until striking a concrete camera pole on the shoulder, and it "took no evasive action prior to impact with the pole," the report reads.
