El Cajon , CA : San Diego county mom suspected of drunken driving after daughter killed in crash on Saturday night ,April 4th 2015

Police in San Diego County say a 31-year-old mother was arrested for investigation of drunken driving after she crashed her car into a telephone pole, killing one of her children.

An El Cajon (cuh-HONE') police statement says Brandy Teague crashed a 2010 Hyundai Accent carrying her three children into the pole Saturday night in El Cajon.

Police say Teague's 3-year-old daughter was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Her two other children suffered serious injuries.

Authorities say Teague was taken to a hospital for treatment and arrested for investigation of gross vehicular manslaughter, child endangerment, drunk driving and drug possession.

Police say she was driving on a suspended license.

Efforts to reach Teague by email in jail via the San Diego Sheriff Department's web site were not immediately successful.
