Omaha, NE : Passenger, 41, dies in crash northwest of Grand Island on Tuesday, February 7th 2017

A 41-year-old passenger died and three others were hurt in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night about 20 miles northwest of Grand Island.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said Terrill Sorensen of Cairo, Nebraska, died at the scene of the 6:07 p.m. crash at Nebraska Highway 2 and Schauppsville Road. The location is about 4 miles east of Cairo.

The Sheriff’s Office said a preliminary investigation indicated that a westbound 2002 Pontiac Bonneville, driven by Brandon Salyers, 23, of Grand Island, crossed the center line and veered into the eastbound lane. The Pontiac struck an eastbound 2001 Ford Mustang driven by Colleen Race, 29, of North Platte.
