A Gratiot County woman has been charged for a hit-and-run that killed two people and injured 14 others in neighboring Clinton County.
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office said it happened shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18.
A group of 16 people were walking on the shoulder of a road in Watertown Township, northwest of Lansing, to their grandparents’ home when they were hit by a vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.
Two victims, now identified as a 30-year-old Grand Haven man and a 42-year-old Grand Ledge man, were found dead upon arrival at the scene, the sheriff’s office said.
